Donor support enables us to develop new works of great cultural relevance, nurture emerging artists and bring our work to schoolchildren who often have limited exposure to the arts. By supporting TJT you are enabling us to produce a season of plays and other programming and continue creating New Works. To keep our programming accessible, we keep ticket prices reasonable and thus, ticket sales account for less than 30% of our budget.
TJT relies on donor investment to fund the labor intensive process of developing fresh and dynamic work. Over the last 30+ years we have developed an unusual and potent process for ensemble creation. Working both as an ensemble and in collaboration with guest artists, we explore relevant issues of our time. So . . . why is this important? Theatre of this nature serves our community by providing a context for constructive thought and discussion. By creating new works, we are contributing to the Jewish culture of today and tomorrow, as we keep alive and respect the rich traditions of the past.
